Platini’s Odds For FIFA Presidency Continue To Drift

Michel Platini’s odds of being named as the next permanent FIFA President have taken a real hit over the last week and the former 1/3 favourite is drifting daily to bag the job. He is now the 11/4 second favourite with William Hill, behind odds on favourite, Prince Ali bin al-Hussein, at 8/11. 

Issa Hayatou, who has taken over the role as stand in President is 8/1 third favourite. 

“Platini’s suspension will have harmed his chances of bagging FIFA’s top job but the mentality of FIFA is highlighted by the fact that he remains the second favourite,” said William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly.
