Platini Is Red-Hot Favourite To Be Next FIFA President
FIFA’s first “productive” meeting of its Reform Committee concluded in Bern on Thursday. The organisation was formed to, amongst other things, set the agenda for another presidential election at the start of 2016. Michel Platini is William Hill’s 1/2 favourite to be named as Sepp Blatter’s replacement with Prince Ali bin al-Hussein 3/1 second favourite.
“Platini is well ahead of the chasing pack in the race to succeed Blatter,” said William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly. “Prince Ali’s odds continue to drift having been as short as 4/7 when the betting first opened.”
