Pellegrini Given The Push

In a dramatic day of betting, William Hill have seen a wave of bets for Manuel Pellegrini to be the next Premier League manager to go, with Britain’s biggest bookmaker William Hill slashing the odds from 9-4 to 6-4.

“Pellegrini could be on his way out of the Etihad and we’ve seen a startling number of bets for the City boss to be axed. These are the sort of gambles which make us sit up and pay attention and an announcement could be imminent,” said William Hill spokesman Jon Ivan-Duke.

Carlo Ancelotti appears to be the man most likely to replace Pellegini, with William Hill offering odds of 5-4 for Ancelotti to replace him as next permanent manager. Rafa Benitez, Patrick Viera and Diego Simeone are others who are linked with the top job at the Etihad.
