Oscar Odds Slashed For “Best Star Wars Ever”

Following rave reviews, William Hill have trimmed the odds of Star Wars: The Force Awakens winning Best Picture at the Oscars. Originally offered at 50/1, it is now 25/1 and is just 5/1 to be nominated. It is 11/10 to break the record box office total of $2.78b grossed by Avatar.

“If the reviews are to be believed, this could be the best Star Wars movie of all time and we think fans will be returning over and over again and pushing it towards the huge box office total set by Avatar,” said William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly.
