On The Move: What Next For De Gea And Monk?

Reports continue to suggest that David de Gea could be leaving Manchester Unite in the summer but William Hill are not so sure. He is 2/5 to be between the sticks for United next season and 7/4 to move to Real Madrid.

“You could easily argue that David de Gea is among the top three keepers in the world and so there is always going to be speculation about whether he will stay at United but he is loved at Old Trafford and we think he will be staying put this summer,” said William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly.

Another man who is rumoured to be interesting a number of clubs is Garry Monk with Sunderland and West Ham both reported as being interested in him in the last few days. He is 1/6 to still be at Swansea on the first day of next season, 8/1 to bet at either of Sunderland or West Ham and 20/1 for Hull or Newcastle.

“When Garry Monk took the top job at Swansea, there was uncertainty as to how he would fare, yet he has proven himself to be a more than capable manager and with a number of jobs becoming available in the summer, there will undoubtedly be a clamour for the young manager,” said William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly.
