Odds Slashed On Sam Smith To Bag Number One With Bond Theme

William Hill have cut the odds of Sam Smith bagging the UK’s Number One single following the releasing of a 15 second clip of The Writing’s On The Wall. Originally offered at 6/4 to bag a No.1, it is now odds on at 8/11 to become the first Bond track to hit the top spot.

“We have heard a small section of the intro and it has all the grandeur of a classic Bond theme,” said William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly. “Add Sam Smith into the mix, who is the nation’s latest treasure, and you have a sure-fire number one.”

Sam Smith is 8/1 to follow in Adele’s footsteps and win an Oscar for The Writing’s On The Wall while the movie Spectre is the same price to be nominated for a Best Picture Oscar.

Spectre is 3/1 to be Daniel Craig’s last Bond and Damian Lewis is the 5/2 favourite to take over.
