Odds On Blatter Winning Next FIFA Election Slashed

The odds of Sepp Blatter being named as the next FIFA President have been slashed from 6/1 to 7/2 after a string of bets of up to £250 were placed on him regaining control on a permanent basis. Prince Ali’s odds have drifted from 6/5 to 13/10 while Michel Platini is the 5/2 second favourite.

“Despite his perception to football fans, Blatter garners a lot of support within the corridors of power in FIFA and should he decide to stand in the next election there is every chance that he could win it,” said William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly.
