No Red Hot Favourite In Race To Be New Face Of £20 Note
Public nominations on who should replace Adam Smith on the Bank of England £20 note will close on Sunday and in the betting market, William Hill are struggling to find a clear favourite.
As it stands, William Blake heads the field at 6/1 but only just with JMW Turner second favourite at 8/1 and LS Lowry third at 10/1.
“There are a number of contenders to be featured on the £20 note and Blake leads them but going into the closing of the nominations we really are no wiser as to what the outcome will be,” said William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly. “Every single person in the market has attracted money suggesting our customers are also undecided as to who the winner will be.”
