Nichols Notches Win

Nichols Canyon was made to work in the Ryanair Hurdle at Leopardstown and while he did well to win, William Hill left him unchanged at 11-2 for the Champion Hurdle, while nipping in Faugheen to 4-6 from 4-5.

Identity Thief was a gritty runner-up and has been cut to 12-1 from 25-1 for the Champion Hurdle.

“Nichols Canyon has shown great determination to get his nose in front, but if Faugheen brings his ‘A’ Game to Cheltenham, he will need a minor miracle to beat him,” said William Hill spokesman Jon Ivan-Duke.
