NFL Turnover Set To Spike As Jets And Dolphins Touchdown In London
With the NFL set to touchdown in London on Sunday as the Jets face the Dolphins, Britain’s biggest bookmaker, William Hill is expecting a 300% increase in turnover on the game compared to another regular season match. Up to £200,000 looks set to be wagered on the match which sees the Jets as slight favourites at 5/6 against the Dolphins who are Even money.
“We always see a spike in NFL turnover when it comes to the UK and every year that number grows,” said William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly. “The most popular match last year, between Atlanta and Detroit, attracted around £160,000 and it is clear that the appetite for the sport continues to grow.”
It is 25/1 that a London franchise is introduced to the NFL before the end of 2020 and 100/1 that Wembley hosts a Super Bowl before the end of 2025.
Match betting: 5/6 New York Jets; 1/1 Miami Dolphins
25/1 UK Franchise to be introduced before the end of 2020
100/1 Wembley to host a Super Bowl before the end of 2025
