New Favourite In FIFA President Market
With Prince Ali bin al-Hussein and his lawyers investigating whether he can become interim FIFA President, William Hill have made him favourite to be named as the next permanent FIFA President. Michel Platini’s odds have drifted from 11/8 to 2/1 making him second favourite behind Prince Ali at 6/4. Luis Figo is the 6/1 third favourite.
“Prince Ali was earmarked by the anti-Blatter brigade as the progressive who could move football forward,” said William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly. “The odds suggest that he is back in with a shout of winning the position for which he was denied last week.”
