New Derby Favourites, But Not Glen Eagles

William Hill have scratched Gleneagles from the Derby betting market (was 10/1), after Aidan O’Brien implied the horse was a miler. It certainly looked like a mile was his trip, after winning the Qipco 2000 Guineas convincingly.

“Gleneagles looks a miler through and through and it would be a complete surprise to see him at Epsom,” said William Hill spokesman Jon Ivan-Duke.

Bookmakers William Hill now have joint-favourites for the Epsom Classic, with Jack Hobbs and Zawraq both 7/1 from 8/1.
