Neville Slashed For England Job After Taking Valencia Role

Gary Neville’s odds of being the next England manager have halved following the news that he is to take over from Nuno as head coach of Valencia. William Hill have seen his odds go from 6/1 to 3/1 and he is clear favourite to bag the job when Roy Hodgson does step down.

“Gary has gone straight in at the deep end and if he does well at the Mestalla, it will stand him in good stead for the England job when Roy Hodgson does leave,” said William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly.

Gary Neville is 4/11 to win his first game in charge, against Lyon in the Champions League and is 1/7 to still be there come the end of the season.

The club will no doubt be aiming to finish in the top four and they are 11/2 to do so.
