Mustajeeb Sprints Home at Curragh

Mustajeeb enhanced his claims for Royal Ascot’s top sprints after a strong performance to win the Weatherbys Ireland Greenlands Stakes at the Curragh. William Hill were suitably impressed and have cut his odds for the Diamond Jubilee to 8-1 second-favourite from 14-1.

“There were a few question marks over whether the trip would suit and he has answered those queries in impressive fashion,” said William Hill spokesman Jon Ivan-Duke.

Sole Power was once again turned over in a six furlong contest and he must now surely be aimed at the King’s Stand, for which he remains 4-1 favourite. He has been pushed out by William Hill to 14-1 from 12-1 for the Diamond Jubilee.
