Murray Set To Stay In Finals As GB Red Hot Favs For Davis Cup

Great Britain are 4/11 to win the Davis Cup according to William Hill, who make opponents, Belgium 2/1 to win the competition.

If GB are to win, they will need the main man, Andy Murray, to be on top form but contrary to suggestion, the bookies think Murray will feature in the ATP World Tour Finals, offering just 1/10 that he does do and 11/2 that he does not.

“Murray is central to any hopes GB have of lifting the Davis Cup and while there will be many who hope that Andy gets some rest before the tournament, he is a man who simply loves the sport and he will be keen to play as much as possible as the season winds down,” said William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly.

On Sunday, William Hill shortened the price of the GB Davis Cup team winning the BBC Sports Personality Team of the Year from 2/1 to Even money.
