Murray’s French Open Odds Cut After Madrid Victory

William Hill have cut the odds of Andy Murray winning the French Open after his victory over Rafa Nadal on Sunday evening at the Madrid Open.

Before taking to the court in the Spanish Capital, Murray was 12/1 for victory at Roland Garros, however, his price has shortened to 8/1 with Rafa’s going the other way from 7/4 to 9/4. Novak Djokovic is the 5/6 favourite.

“Rafa remains the king of clay however with each year comes the threat of someone dethroning him and given his recent clay form, there is no reason why it cannot be Andy this time around,” said William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly.
