Muhaarar Mauls Hannon Pair

Muhaarar is 14-1 from 40-1 for the 2000 Guineas with William Hill after winning the Aon Greenham Stakes at Newbury.

The Charlie Hills-trained colt took charge of the race, with Estidhkaar and Ivawood playing out the places in behind. As a result of defeat, Ivawood is now pushed out to 14-1 from 9-2 for the Guineas, with stablemate Estidhkaar halved in price to 10-1 from 20-1.

“We’d only taken four bets for Muhaarar for the 2000 Guineas before the Greenham, but he’s likely to be a whole lot more fashionable after that win,” said William Hill spokesman Jon Ivan-Duke.

After the Greenham, William Hill also trimmed favourite Gleneagles to 9-4 favourite from 5-2.
