Mourinho To Stick With Young Guns? When Will Wenger Leave Arsenal?

Chelsea made six changes to their side to face Maccabi Tel Aviv and William Hill are offering 11/2 that eight or more of that side starts against Arsenal this weekend.

“Some of Chelsea’s big names have underperformed so far this season and the side’s best performance so far featured a number of fringe players,” said William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly. “There is every chance that Mourinho keeps faith with these when they host Arsenal this weekend.”

With three of the four English sides consigned to defeat, William Hill make Chelsea the 6/5 favourite to be the side that progresses furthest in the competition and also offer 8/1 that exactly three sides fail to qualify for the knockout stages.”

With defeat to Dinamo, Arsene Wenger has become the first manager to lose 50 games in the Champions League. Given that he has never lifted the trophy, William Hill are now betting on when he steps down as manager. He is 3/1 to leave next year and 11/8 to leave in 2017.

“Mourinho once described Arsenal as a specialist in failure and his European record goes some way to confirming that,” said William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly. “As he reaches the unwanted landmark of 50 defeats in the Champions League he may be thinking it is time for him to step down.”
