Mongolian Khan shortens again after favourable barrier draw

The dust has barely settled on the barrier draw for the Saturday’s $3 million Group One Caulfield Cup (2400m), with favourite Mongolian Khan shortening to $4.80 after drawing barrier 9.

The biggest mover was Volkstok'n'Barrell - into $21 with online bookmaker William Hill, was $26 - with the Waller trained Who Shot Thebarman drifting by the same amount and now out to $26.

Japanese imports Fame Game and Hokko Brave have been pushed out a little to $10 & $13 respectively.

"Mongolian Khan is out in front despite having a congested start up the middle. However, it's the wider draws from some her main competitors as to why we think  Murrary Baker and Oppie Bosson licking their lips for the jump come Saturday," William Hill spokesman Tim Ashworth said.
