Money for Klopp to be Next City Boss

Outgoing Borussia Dortmund manager Jurgen Klopp has shortened to 11/10 favourite with William Hill to replace Manuel Pellegrini at Manchester City.

Under-fire Pellegrini has failed to get his City side to perform to the high levels of expectation at the Etihad and now one of the brightest managers in the game could be clip-Klopping his way to Manchester. It looks increasingly likely, after Bayern Munich boss Pep Guardiola appeared to rule out a switch to Man City.

“We have taken more bets on Klopp being the next City boss than anyone else and the money has really come after Pep Guardiola’s comments,” said William Hill spokesman Jon Ivan-Duke.

Next Permanent Man City Manager: 11/10 Jurgen Klopp, 9/4 Carlo Ancelotti, 9/2 Rafa Benitez, 8/1 Patrick Vieira, 10/1 Pep Guardiola, 12/1 Alejandro Sabella, 12/1 Diego Simeone, 16/1 Ronald Koeman, 20/1 Antonio Conte, 33/1 Brendan Rodgers, 33/1 Joachim Low, 40/1 Andre Villas-Boas, 40/1 Fabio Capello
