Mo 8/1 For Double Olympic Glory

WITH THE on-going controversy surrounding Mo Farah’s coach, Alberto Salazar, showing few signs of abating, bookmakers William Hill remain confident that the current furore will not derail Mo’s Olympic ambitions and offer odds of 1/5 that he will line up to defend his Gold Medal triumphs in either, or both, of the 5000 and 1,000 metres next year. And Hills are offering 8/1 that he will again win BOTH the 5000 and 10,000 metres Gold medals in Rio.

‘Mo is clearly not enjoying the media focus on his coach, and has already pulled out of a meeting at short notice, sparking fears that his long-term training programme may suffer’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe. ‘He is being urged to sever his ties with Salazar and it is feasible that the pressure could hinder, or even derail his training programme, thus possibly threatening his participation in the Olympics. However, we remain confident that he’ll be there and expect to take vast numbers of bets on him replicating his London achievements’
