Mike Ashley To Be Booted Out Of Newcastle?
As Mike Ashley’s Newcastle United tenure continues to plummet new depths, William Hill are offering odds of 10/1 that the club are bought before the start of next season.
“An ideal resolution to the Mike Ashley saga at Newcastle would be for him to relinquish his power but that seems unlikely unless he receives an offer,” said William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly.
Someone who does seem intent on leaving his current club, is Yaya Toure. Despite his recent comments, however, William Hill make him 2/5 to still be at Manchester City come the closing of the summer transfer window. Should he leave, his former boss, Roberto Mancini is favourite to sign him at 5/2 for Inter. He is 6/1 to join PSG.
Jack Grealish is in the centre of an international tug of war between England and Republic of Ireland. William Hill are undecided on who he will turn out for when he does eventually win a senior cap. He is 5/6 for England and 5/6 for the Republic of Ireland.
“Young Jack currently seems incredibly well advised and there is no doubt that a lot of thought will go into his international future,” said William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly.
Brendan Rodgers is a 1/3 shot to still be at Liverpool on the first day of next season although should he leave after three years of service, Rafa Benitez and Jurgen Klopp at 10/1 look the most likely candidates to be in place instead.
