McCoy the Don in Melling

AP McCoy steered Don Cossack to victory in the Melling Steeple Chase at Aintree and King George sponsors William Hill have reacted by installing the winner in to their market at 10-1.

“Don Cossack jumped very well, it looks like a return to three miles wouldn’t inconvenience him and he would be a welcome addition to the King George field in the winter,” said William Hill spokesman Jon Ivan-Duke.

He wasn’t the only Aintree winner to be added to the William Hill King George VI Chase market – Saphir Du Rheu was given a quote of 8-1 by the sponsors following victory in the Mildmay Novices’ Steeple Chase.

William Hill King George VI Chase: 3-1 Vautour, 5-1 Coneygree, 6-1 Silviniaco Conti, 8-1 Saphir Du Rheu, 10-1 Don Cossack, (EW ¼ Odds Places 1,2,3)
