Master vs Apprentice In Peterborough Chase

Willie Mullins holds the two at the head of the field for the John Durkan Memorial at Punchestown on Sunday. Djakadam is the 2-1 favourite with William Hill, while Valseur Lido is next in at 3-1.

However, Gilgamboa is the best-backed with William Hill at 4-1, having been backed down on Thursday from 5-1 to 4-1.

In the Peterborough Chase, Paul Nicholls runs Ptit Zig, who is the 9-4 favourite, ahead of an old stablemate, 11-4 chance Al Ferof, who is now trained by Dan Skelton.

It appears to be an opportunity for Skelton, Nicholl’s former assistant, to get one over on his old boss.

“It is Master vs Apprentice in the Peterborough Chase and there could be a few punters backing the younger trainer to come out on top,” said William Hill spokesman Jon Ivan-Duke.
