Maradona Enters FIFA Presidential Race As An Outsider

Diego Maradona is a 33/1 shot to become the next FIFA President with William Hill following reports he has thrown his hat into the ring for the top job in world football. Despite his place in history as one of the best players ever, he remains quite a way behind the favourites with Prince Ali bin al-Hussein 6/5 and Michel Platini 9/4.

“Maradona is one of the game’s more colourful characters but despite his standing as a football great, he joins a long list of outsiders as Prince Ali and Michel Platini head the betting as they have done for quite some time,” said William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly.
