Manchester United: David de Gea 1/6 To Join Real Madrid
David de Gea is just 1/6 to sign for Real Madrid this season and 7/2 to remain at Manchester United. He is 14/1 to move to any other club.
Should he leave, William Hill are looking at who come in and replace him as number one at Old Trafford.
Asmir Begovic is a 9/4 shot to sign for Manchester United during the summer and is the shortest price of any other keeper to head to Old Trafford before the start of September. Other names in the mix include Hugo Lloris (5/1), Iker Casillas (11/2), Fraser Forster (11/2), Jeronimo Rulli (11/2) and Samir Handanovic (11/2).
Sir Alex Ferguson famously tried to hijack Manuel Neuer’s move to Bayern Munich from Schalke and it does not look to likely that the Reds will be able to tempt him to leave the German champions. He is 12/1 to join United, while his fellow countrymen Timo Horn, Marc Andre ter Stegen and Rene Adler are 7/1, 9/1 and 10/1 respectively.
Chelsea’s Petr Cech is 7/1 as he edges towards the exit door at Stamford Bridge.
“Manchester United have a long list of potential replacements for David de Gea but they will not want to rush into things after the long hunt to find Peter Schmeichel’s successor took years to resolve,” said William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly.
