Manchester United At The Front Of The Queue

After a woeful Champions League performance for Real Madrid against Juventus, Gareth Bale received much criticism and led some pundits to suggest his time in the Spanish capital is as good as over. William Hill do not think that is the case and make him a 2/5 shot to still be at the club come the close of the transfer window.

Should he leave, Manchester United appear to be at the front of the queue and are 4/1 to sign him, while Jose Mourinho is 9/1 to bring him to Chelsea over the summer.

“Gareth Bale has had some great matches in his first season at the Bernabeu, however, they are becoming distant memories and his time at Real could be coming to a close,” said William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly. “Despite an underwhelming second season, there will be no shortage of suitors should he leave and Manchester United seem the most likely at the moment.”

Gareth Bale club on the 2nd September 2015: 2/5 Real Madrid; 4/1 Manchester United; 9/1 Chelsea; 14/1 Bayern Munich; 16/1 Manchester City; 20/1 Arsenal; 20/1 Barcelona; 20/1 Juventus; 25/1 any MLS club; 25/1 PSG; 33/1 Liverpool; 40/1 Monaco
