Manchester City Are Football’s Annie Power...
Manchester City’s failure to beat Burnley was a bright light on a pretty dark day for the bookmakers still after nine of the ten best backed sides on Saturday all won before the late kick off.
“It was a pretty tough day for us bookmakers after only Bristol City let down punters and going into the Burnley game, Manchester City were being backed as if they could not fail to win,” said William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly. “Pellegrini’s side have been the footballing equivalent of Annie Power today!”
