Le Reve leads Sandown betting

Le Reve is the 8-1 favourite with William Hill for this weekend’s betting feature at Sandown. Lucy Wadham’s seven-year-old won at the track in January before finishing second to Rocky Creek at Kempton.

Paint The Clouds was immediately supported when William Hill went back up with prices after the five-day declarations – and was trimmed to 10-1 from 12-1. The Warren Greatrex-trained gelding was third in the Foxhunter Chase at the Cheltenham Festival and is very lightly raced for his age. Henry de Bromhead’s Grand Jesture is another with a progressive profile at odds of 10-1.

“The horses at the front end of the market are improving types who might have more to come,” said Hill’s spokesman Jon Ivan-Duke. “We’ve already seen good support for Paint The Clouds.”
