Late Booker Prize Gamble On 'Bob Marley'

'A BRIEF HISTORY OF SEVEN KILLINGS' by Marlon James, which takes its theme from a shooting which targeted Bob Marley has been backed from 8/1 fifth favourite to 5/2 second favourite with William Hill to win the Man Booker Prize, announced on Tuesday.

Hanya Yanagihara's 'A Little Life', which has been favourite since the Longlist was announced, is still best fancied contender at 5/4, with Sunjeev Sahota's Year Of The Runaways 4/1 third favourite.

'We have taken marginally more bets for Hanya Yanagihara than for Marlon James, but the latter will cost us far more, having been offered at much longer odds' said Hill's spokesman Graham Sharpe.
