Lady C: A Retrospective Of The Most Marmite Celebrity Of All Time

Lady C has left I’m A Celebrity and over the course of the last three weeks she has become one of the most marmite characters in reality TV history. This is reflected in her odds as the show has progressed. When the show started, Lady C was a 25/1 shot with William Hill to win however, the public initially took to her - at one point she tumbled to 6/1 (after her eating challenge with Vicky) and was third favourite for a time.

Following the argument over the jungle boutique hotel task, her odds started to drift again and by the time the episode showing that particular disagreement had finished airing, she was back out to 20/1 and amongst the outsiders. Since then the bookmakers have struggled to work out exactly where she should stand in the market and her odds did plummet again, to 9/1, although by the time she departed the jungle, she was 25/1 to win.

“Creating a market on this year’s I’m A Celeb has been nearly impossible where Lady C is concerned and despite the fact that there were plenty of people who hated her, there were plenty who loved her and if she had stayed in, there is every chance she would have made the final three,” said William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly.

Vicky Pattison is the 4/6 favourite to win the show ahead of George at 3/1 and Ferne at 5/1.

I’m A Celebrity winner: 4/6 Vicky Pattison; 3/1 George Shelley; 5/1 Ferne McCann; 14/1 Jorgie Porter; 16/1 Kieron Dyer; 33/1 Tony Hadley; 40/1 Duncan Bannatyne
