The flamboyant cricketer has been staking his claim with a tally of solid batting performances and further highlighted his credentials with a double century for Surrey against Leicestershire on Monday.
Now Britain’s biggest bookmaker think it’s increasingly likely he could return to the England set-up.
“KP isn’t just knocking on the door, he’s smashing it down with a sledgehammer,” said William Hill spokesman Jon Ivan-Duke. “He might not be the most popular man in the dressing room, but it isn’t a cake decorating class, it’s cricket and England need him.”
