Jessica Ennis-Hill Is The New Favourite For BBC SPOTY

Jessica Ennis-Hill is the new favourite to win the BBC Sports Personality of the Year after winning the Heptathlon in the World Championships.

William Hill make her 2/1, having cut her from 12/1 while Chris Froome is just behind at 7/2.

“There were plenty of people writing off Jess’ gold medal prospects but after a stunning heptathlon performance in Beijing, the poster girl of British athletics is now the frontrunner for the coveted SPOTY award,” said William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly.

Ennis-Hill is 7/4 to win the heptathlon gold medal at the 2016 Olympics.
