Inverdale Shortens as Kyle Drifts for Grand National Coverage
William Hill have pushed out Jeremy Kyle to 4-1 from 3-1 to host Channel 4’s Grand National Coverage, after failing to strike a bet on the presenter, who is better known for resolving family arguments and revealing the results of DNA tests, than tipping the winner of Aintree’s annual feature. Meanwhile John Inverdale has shortened to 7-2 from 9-2.
“Jeremy Kyle is a great fan of racing but it doesn’t look like the betting public are warming to the idea of him fronting the Grand National,” said William Hill spokesman Jon Ivan-Duke. “Nick Luck looks the most likely host and would be a popular choice amongst the racing fraternity, although John Inverdale has moved in to second-favourite and with such a breadth of live sports experience, he must be a name that the decision makers are considering.”
Who Will Be Main Host Of Channel 4’s Grand National Broadcast?: 4-5 Nick Luck, 7-2 John Inverdale, 4-1 Jeremy Kyle, 10-1 Ed Chamberlain, Jake Humphrey, 14-1 Ant & Dec, 20-1 Gabby Logan, 100-1 John McCririck (Win Only, Main Presenter To Count As The Winner; In The Case Of Co-Hosts, Dead-Heat Rules Will Apply)
