Intilaaq 20/1 For Derby

William Hill have installed Roger Varian’s Intilaaq at 20/1 for the Investec Derby after an eye-catching display at Newbury. Paul Hanagan looked confident on the Dynaformer colt throughout the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships Maiden Stakes and he readily pulled away from his rivals in the final quarter mile to win.

“The Classic markets are starting to take shape and surprisingly it’s Intilaaq who might just have put in the most eye-catching performance at Newbury,” said William Hill spokesman Jon Ivan-Duke.

Earlier on the card, Mr Singh landed the Al Basti Equiworld Maiden Stakes for John Gosden and Lady Bamford – the third year in a row that connections have won the race. He’s 40-1 with William Hill for the Derby.
