If in Doubt Gamble

There’s more than a month to go until the 2015 Cheltenham Gold Cup, but William Hill can report an increase in enquiries for a price on If In Doubt to win the 2016 renewal. William Hill have priced the recent Doncaster winner at 50-1 to land next year’s Cheltenham Gold Cup, as he continues to progress for trainer Philip Hobbs.

“We have taken a succession of bets on If In Doubt becoming a Gold Cup horse next year. He’s a relative outsider in the betting for this year’s Festival, but there is clearly some confidence that he will continue to improve over fences.”

Don Poli is the only other horse in William Hill’s 2016 Gold Cup market at this stage and he remains 5-1 joint-favourite for this year’s RSA Chase with Kings Palace, while If In Doubt is a 20-1 chance.
