Hobbs Hopes Hello Will Sizzle in Lanzarote

Hello George is the best-backed horse in the William Hill Lanzarote Hurdle as 13 remain after the final declarations for Saturday’s big race at Kempton Park. Philip Hobbs’ horse is 6-1 in the betting.

“Hello George is easily the best-backed horse so far, with punters continuing to follow Philip Hobbs in the big races,” said William Hill spokesman Jon Ivan-Duke.

Tea For Two is 5-1 favourite for Nick Williams, who trained the winner of the race in 2011 and 2012. Lizzie Kelly has ridden the horse, owned by her mother Jane, in every race and will look to continue her successful partnership.

Nicky Henderson’s Dawalan was the surprise omission from the final declarations for the race, having attracted some interest earlier in the week and was joint-second favourite with the sponsors at 7-1 before the revisions. However, Hammersly Lake remains in the line-up for the 2013 winning trainer, offered at odds of 7-1.

The Listed William Hill Lanzarote Hurdle is run over 2miles and 5 furlongs at Kempton Park and is worth £45,000 in prize money. The race will be broadcast on Channel 4 Racing and Racing UK at 2.40pm.
