Hills Think Together More Likely to Star in Oaks

Star Of Seville won the Musidora Stakes on the opening day of York’s Dante meeting and William Hill have responded by docking her for the Epsom Oaks to 7-1 from 9-1. However the bookies were more impressed with the runner-up Together Forever, who stayed on strongly in the closing stages – she’s 6-1 from 14-1 with William Hill.

“Although Star Of Seville won, we think Together Forever might have a better chance of winning the Oaks, given the way she stayed on and she was giving weight away to the winner,” said William Hill spokesman Jon Ivan-Duke.

William Hill also narrowed Pandora to 33-1 from 50-1, who ran well on only her second start.

Meanwhile earlier on the card, Glass Office surprised the punters and the bookmakers alike with victory in the Duke Of York Clipper Logistics Stakes, returning at odds of 40-1. The winner is now quoted for two races at Royal Ascot – he is 14-1 from 40-1 with William Hill for the Diamond Jubilee Stakes and 16-1 from 50-1 for the Kings Stands.
