Golden Touch Savage scoops Charity Win

He’s known for his footballing prowess and high maintenance haircuts, but Robbie Savage may have found a new talent.

The former Strictly star successfully selected the winner of the William Hill Ayr Gold Cup, winning £1000 for charity.

William Hill offered the Strictly champ a £100 each-way bet on the weekend’s big race at Ayr Racecourse and he chose Don’t Touch at odds of 8-1.

And the big sprint, which is Scotland’s richest Flat race, was indeed won by Don’t Touch, with Robbie Savage donating the £1000 win to the Alzheimer’s Society.

“The trainer Richard Fahey is a friend of mine and he said he thought Don’t Touch would win and he was right!” said William Hill ambassador Robbie Savage.
