Froome Goes Odds-On For Tour

Chris Froome is now the odds-on favourite for this year’s Tour De France after a strong ride in Stage 3. He is now the race leader and takes over in the yellow jersey.

Froome is 19/20 with William Hill to win the Tour, with Nairo Quintana 5/2 second-favourite, Alberto Contador at 11/2 and last year’s winner Vincenzo Nibali 6/1.

William Hill also offer odds of 12/5 that he stays in the yellow jersey for the remainder of the Tour De France.

“Froome is now in yellow and he will fight tooth and nail to stay in the lead,” said William Hill spokesman Jon Ivan-Duke.

Joaquim Rodriguez won the third stage, with Chris Froome close behind. The stage victor is 36/1 to win the overall standings.
