Fresh Gamble On Ranieri To Be Next Leicester Boss

Following the gamble that saw his odds plunge dramatically for the Leicester City manager’s job, Martin O’Neill’s odds have drifted from 1/4 to 4/7 while another gamble has taken place on a new name on Saturday.

Having started the day at 12/1, Claudio Ranieri seems to be in the frame with a gamble seeing his odds plummet to 6/4.

“The betting would suggest that it is still O’Neill who is very much the top name for the Leicester job but Ranieri’s odds have tumbled considerably meaning he must at least be under consideration,” said William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly.

Bets of up to £250 have been placed on the Italian replacing Nigel Pearson with the largest et being placed in south west London.

Next permanent Leicester manager: 4/7 Martin O’Neill; 6/4 Claudio Ranieri; 8/1 Neil Lennon; 10/1 Roberto Di Matteo; 12/1 Bob Bradley; 14/1 Guus Hiddink; 16/1 Preki; 25/1 Esteban Cambiasso; 25/1 Sean Dyche; 25/1 Steve Cotterill; 33/1 BAR
