Fontiton eases slightly for William Hill Blue Diamond
She’s been firming since markets first opened, but bookie WilliamHill.com.au has pushed out the price of Fontiton for Saturday’s William Hill Blue Diamond after the filly drew barrier 1 at today’s barrier draw.
Fontiton eased from $2.60 to $2.70 at William Hill, while second favourite Pride Of Dubai firmed from $6 into $5.50 after drawing gate 5.
“She’s clearly proved herself as the horse to beat but if she misses the start by half a length from the one barrier, her job will be tougher,” said William Hill’s Andrew Brown.
“There’s always an element of uncertainty with two-year-old races and in a high-pressure Group 1 race, punters will be looking around for some value runners.”
Fellow Blue Diamond Prelude winner Of The Brave remained steady at $8.50, while Lake Geneva is the only other runner in single figures at $9.50.
