FA Cup: Plumber From Doncaster Is One Of Only Two Who Predicted Upsets

With punters up and down the country still reeling from an astonishing set of FA Cup results on Saturday, William Hill have managed to track down a lucky soul who managed to back a Middlesbrough and Bradford victory at the incredibly long odds of 285/1.

24 year old, James Howe, a plumber from Doncaster placed £10 on his selections, the two biggest outsiders on a day of FA Cup shocks, landing himself nearly £3000 in the process.

“I had another accumulator with Manchester City and Chelsea in it but after watching Cambridge United bag themselves a draw against my side, Manchester United, I thought I would have to have a cheeky tenner on the other two underdogs,” said Mr Howe. “I’m glad I did!”

James was not the only punter who won big by backing the underdogs as another mystery punter from Blackpool also managed to net himself £2860 after staking £10 on the two outsiders.

“It was a day of shocks which often leaves punters cursing their luck, however we have managed to find a couple of punters who still believe in the magic of the Cup and won big by backing the underdogs,” said William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly.
