Educated Bet? Punters Zone In On Midterm

Punters clearly think that Midterm passed his debut test with flying colours and they have been backing him to win the 2016 Derby with William Hill.

His odds have been slashed by William Hill to 16-1 from 33-1 for the Epsom feature since his strong maiden win at Newbury.

Midterm is impeccably bred as a son of Galileo and the first foal of super mare Midday, who won six Group 1 races for the late Sir Henry Cecil.

“There’s an educated gamble on Midterm and we’ve taken plenty of bets on him since his debut win. He’s bred to be a superstar and some punters clearly think he might be a world-beater,” said William Hill spokesman Jon Ivan-Duke.
