Eclipse To Finish In Betting Order?

William Hill have priced up a special for this weekend’s Eclipse to finish in the current betting order. It’s 4-1 that the current prices are an exact match to the finishing positions.

“Looking at the market, there are big differences in price for a five-runner race and the odds could well be the best guide to the finishing order,” said William Hill spokesman Jon Ivan-Duke.

Eclipse - 4/1 To Finish In The Following Order:

  1. Golden Horn (4/11)
  2. The Grey Gatsby (7/2)
  3. Cougar Mountain (12/1)
  4. Western Hymn (14/1)
  5. Tullius (66/1)

The race is a one-horse book with William Hill so far but they have pushed Golden Horn out to 4-11 from 1-3 to remain competitive.

“It’s the feature race of the weekend and we want to be competitive in price, plus The Grey Gatsby has beaten a Derby winner before and he could do it again,” said William Hill spokesman Jon Ivan-Duke.
