Could Mourinho Leave This Week? Guardiola To Take Over?

Jose Mourinho is just 6/5 with William Hill to be the next Premier League manager to leave his job after his side were knocked out of the Capital One Cup. He is the clear favourite ahead of Steve McClaren at 2/1. A defeat against Liverpool (which is offered at 3/1) could spell the end for Mourinho and he is just 9/2 to have left the club by midnight on Sunday evening.

Should Mourinho leave, it is Pep Guardiola who heads the betting with Hills to take over. He is 9/4 with Diego Simeone 6/1 and Carlo Ancelotti 10/1.

“Abramovich’s Chelsea sackings have often been long and protracted and it feels this way at the moment for Mourinho,” said William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly. “A defeat against Liverpool could be the final nail in the coffin.”
