Could It Be RIP For LVG If Top Four Spot Is Missed?

Louis van Gaal now looks all but certain to end his first season in charge of Manchester United without a trophy and William Hill are offering 11/4 that van Gaal has left the club by the start of next season. Part of Manchester United’s falinings could be laid at the door of their two big money summer signings. Angel di Maria is 13/8 to leave United in the summer while Falcao is 1/2 to leave the club.

One player who could come in to help boost United over the summer is Saido Berahino, who is 9/2 to join the club by the end of the next transfer window, although he is 11/10 to stay at  West Brom and 7/2 to join Liverpool.

“Monday night meant that United only have a top four spot to play for this season and while they have the upper hand in the table at the moment, Liverpool and Spurs are in fantastic form and a failure to secure Champions League football next season could spell the end for van Gaal,” said William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly.
