Corbyn Odds-On To Win In Round One

After Labour's vote for their London Mayor candidate took several rounds to decide, punters are backing Jeremy Corbyn to win the Labour leader contest in round one, with William Hill making him 4/7 (stake £7 for potential profit of £4) to gain enough First Preference votes to win outright at that stage.

However he wins, Hills are offering 7/4 that he will remain Leader for long enough to lead Labour into the General Election, and 2/5 that he doesn't.

  • NEXT LABOUR LEADER...1/20 Corbyn; 10/1 Cooper; 25/1 Burnham; 200/1 Kendall
  • CORBYN TO WIN ON FIRST PREFERENCES.....4/7 YES; 5/4 NO
  • CORBYN TO LEAD LABOUR INTO GENERAL ELECTION.....2/5 NO; 7/4 YES
  • CORBYN TO BE NEXT ELECTED PRIME MINISTER.....7/1
