Corbyn 5/2 To Lead Labour Into General Election

Jeremy Corbyn is now an odds-on chance at 8/11 with William Hill to win the Labour leadership contest by receiving enough First Preference votes in the First Round. He is an even money chance not to win on First Preferences.

Hills, who originally quoted Corbyn at 200/1, now make him 2/7 favourite to emerge as Leader, with Andy Burnham 7/2 second favourite; Yvette Cooper 8/1 third favourite and Liz Kendall 80/1.

But Hills still make Corbyn ODDS AGAINST to survive long enough to take the Party into the General Election even if he becomes leader, quoting him at 5/2 to do so, and 2/7 not to.

'Although we expect Corbyn to win, and probably to win on First Preferences, but we think he will then struggle to remain in charge for the next few years until the General Election takes place' said Hill's spokesman Graham Sharpe.
