Cole Claims World Title

Cole Harden is 7-1 with William Hill to win next year’s World Hurdle after victory in the race at Cheltenham today. The Warren Greatrex-trained gelding held off the challenge of the well-backed Paul Nicholls duo Saphir Du Rheu and Zarkandar to land the staying hurdler crown.

“Long gone are the days of Big Buck’s when he was a Festival banker – now it’s a wide open division, but Cole Harden has performed well and deserves his favourite tag to land the race again next year,” said William Hill spokesman Jon Ivan-Duke.
